Happy Turkey Day...a little late.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great one. We drove out to Bill's sister's, Julie, in Berlin, WI. We had a great dinner and visit with everyone. And afterwards, the girls had a great time swimming at the hotel. We are very thankful for our great families!

Princess Reagan turns 5!

Happy Birthday, Reagan.

Yesterday Reagan turned 5. We celebrated it by having a princess party with some of her friends. The party started at 10:30 am. As the girls arrived, they donned sticker earrings, pink boas and big jewel rings. The girls then made a tiara, we painted finger nails, strung beads, played, decorated door hangers and book marks and ate lunch. We had cupcakes and ice cream and then opened gifts. It was fun to hear the girls talk and play. After dinner we had more cupcakes and opened the rest of her gifts. We had a fun day celebrating our princesses growing up!

And the results are in...

Last night we decided to not spend the evening watching the media commentary on the election. Instead we decided to go bowling. We had so much fun. We all displayed our individual technique. Reagan has the flare release. Gabby was the drop and roll followed by a little air kick to get it rolling. Neither of girls had enough force to make the machine reset between balls. It also took about 10-15 seconds for the ball to reach the pins. A few times we had go down the side of the lane and give the ball a little nudge to get it to the end. Gabby actually did pick up 2 spares. At the end of the night, Gabby did not want to give up her bowling shoes. They said that was a first.

Just out for a chat....

Happy Halloween!

What a great day!!! The day was packed with fun and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Reagan's day started with a party and parade at school. They played games and then walked around to a couple of classes for the parade, the parents tagged along.

Later, we carved our pumpkins. Gabby wanted a "mad" pumpkin and Reagan wanted a "smiley face" pumpkin. After we carved the pumpkins, we spent a couple of hours outside enjoying the wonderful fall day.

The girls' friends, Lauren and Todd came over for some trick or treating. I don't think we planned it, but all the kids were water related, 2 oceans, a mermaid and Nemo. After we came back to the house, Gabby checked out her treats and then wanted to pass out candy. So Gabby and I sat outside and she passed out candy while Bill and Reagan ventured out to other areas of the neighborhood for more trick or treating. We had candy for about 450 trick-or-treater and ran out at 8:00...and they were still going strong. We hope you all had as great a day as we did! Happy Halloween!

A summer of camp outs.

This summer we bought a 6 man tent so "we" could go "camping". We spent many weekend nights camping out in our backyard. We spent the 4th of July up at Grandpa Joe Joe's in the tent. Then Bill and the girls spent a week on the Wisconsin North Shore in the Bayfield are (a.k.a. Ferry Island). One last camping trip for Bill and the girls was to Lake Owen with Bill's brother Doug's family. Here are a few pictures from each of the trips.

First Day of School

Reagan started preschool this fall. She loves it. She told me for about 9 months that she was never going to school. Now she wishes she could go every day.

The first day at school when I dropped her off, we walked in the room and she said "you can go now, Mom". All the other parents were still there and she kicked me out! So I left (I took a couple pictures from the hall). I took Gabby to the car and she would not get in the van. She threw a fit for about 5 minutes. Asked her if she wanted to go to Target or the Mall. She just wanted to go back and get Reagan. Finally got her in the van and went home. We got in the house and she found her pillow, blanket and Violet (a stuffed purple octopus) and layed down in the middle of the kitchen floor with her blanket pulled over her. Asked her is she wanted to read books, play dolls, play play doh or a number of things. She said no to whatever I suggested. So I said I would like to go check e-mail. She said "you go check e-mail, Mom". So I went upstairs. About ten minutes later she hollers, "I'm all better, Mom." I laughed so hard. It was pretty cute.
